Monday Night Football (history, picks, commentators, games, lineup, network)

Monday night football is one of the longest live aired football programs of America starting from 1970 to till today. But till 2005 it was aired in ABC channel and moved to ESPN after 36 years. And fortunately both companies are owned by Walt Disney. The name of the producer of this program is Ronne Arledge. Due to the contribution in American football it is the highest rated program in America. Today it can be seen all over the world in different ESPN network of different countries.

Talking about its history, before 1970 the commissioner of NFL came with an idea creating a game per week in prime TV for increasing TV fans but later to 1970 they changed the show to Monday Night Football which aired to ABC Television channel. One of the most remembered incident was the assassination of beetles member John Lennon which was announced in the middle of game which shocked the world as Lennon was once in the commentary box of Monday Night Football. In late 70s the game which was played Saturday was aired in Monday due to the weird game chart.

Till 2013 it has aired 44 seasons of National football league. From the 44 season aired in ABC and ESPN it has a huge number of picks for the Director, commentator and the crews and even the players which can be seen in the website of ESPN and ABC. In its 43 years long show surprisingly 95 commentators have presented the show in different network and with different crew members throughout the world. Monday night football has aired the games in which Seattle Seahawks are in the first place with 692 points whereas Atlanta falcons are in the last with 294 points among 32 teams that have played.


 In the official website of ESPN the lineup of the game among 33 teams can be seen with the prediction of the experts and fans as the lineup for the clash between two teams is determined and prepared by National football league. The highest rating of Monday Night football was 29.6 when Miami dolphins defeated Chicago bears in 1985 and the lowest rating was 7.9 when St. Louis Rams defeated Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2004 and both the game was telecasted by ABC. The network of the game has been through two channels one is ABC from 1970 to 2005 and then to ESPN from 2005 to till today.
